The Duo Trail — Dual Retractable Leash for Two Dogs, 3 m

Two dogs, one hand. The Duo Trail runs two separate webbing tapes off a single reel, so both dogs walk on one handle instead of one leash in each fist. The reel turns a full 360° against the handle, which lets the two tapes cross over each other as the dogs swap sides.

Each tape ends in its own chrome-plated swivel snap hook, and the two tapes are colour-coded — one green, one orange — so you can tell at a glance which dog is on which line. A thumb button on top of the grip locks the reel when you want them close.

Clipped to the frame is a module that does the two jobs you otherwise carry in a pocket: an LED torch that points down the leash line for dark walks, and a waste-bag dispenser that feeds a roll out through a bone-shaped slot. The whole module lifts off the frame in one piece when you don't want it.

The handle is a closed loop with a soft matte overmould, so it sits across the palm rather than digging into the fingers.
