  • Automatically, through your use of our Services, including through cookies and similar technologies.
  • From our service providers, including Shopify and the payment, fulfilment and other providers described in this Policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

  • process and fulfil your orders, including arranging delivery;
  • create and manage your customer account;
  • respond to customer-service enquiries and communicate with you;
  • send order confirmations, shipping updates and related transactional communications;

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our Services use cookies and similar technologies. Shopify's automated Customer Privacy tools are enabled on our store. Where required by applicable law — including for visitors in the European Union, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom — a cookie banner is presented that allows you to Accept, Decline, Manage preferences, Accept all, Decline all, or Save your choices before non-essential cookies are used.

Cookies are organised into the following categories:

  • Required. Necessary for core storefront functions such as your shopping cart, checkout, account login, and security. These remain active at all times and cannot be disabled through the cookie banner, as our Services cannot function properly without them.
  • Personalisation. Remember your preferences, such as your selected country, language and currency, so your experience is consistent as you browse.
  • Analytics. Help us understand how our Services are used so we can improve them. This currently relies primarily on Shopify's own native analytics functionality. Use of analytics cookies is subject to your consent where required by applicable law.
  • Marketing. May support measurement or marketing functionality if activated in the future. We do not currently have a third-party advertising pixel or tag confirmed active on our Services. Use of marketing cookies is subject to your consent where required by applicable law.
  • Consent and privacy preferences. Store the choices you make about cookies, so we can honour your preferences on future visits.

You can manage or withdraw your cookie consent at any time through the Cookie preferences option on our Services, or through the footer privacy-choice link where available. You can also control cookies through your browser settings; please note that disabling required cookies may affect the functionality of our Services.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share your personal information with the following categories of third parties, only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:

  • Shopify, which hosts our Services and provides platform functionality, including checkout, order processing, storefront analytics and essential operational data processing.
  • Payment providers, including Shopify Payments, PayPal and Shop Pay, which process your payment information when you make a purchase. See Section 6 for more information.
  • Order-processing, fulfilment, supplier and delivery partners, including TeemDrop, couriers, postal services and logistics providers, who help us process, prepare and deliver your order. These partners may receive your name, contact details, delivery address and other information reasonably necessary to fulfil your order, and may also process related information such as your IP address, general location and browser or device information in connection with order processing and delivery.
  • Other service providers who support the operation of our Services, such as translation and localisation tools, customer support tools, and administrative or technical support providers.
  • Legal and safety purposes, where we are required to disclose information to comply with the law, respond to valid legal process, or protect the rights, property or safety of Paws of Prestige, our customers or others.

We may also export customer and order data from Shopify into spreadsheets or similar internal tools for purposes such as calculations, order administration, reconciliation, reporting and internal operational analysis. Access to any exported data is limited to authorised personnel.

We do not currently use a dedicated third-party email marketing platform. If we begin using one in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where legally required, obtain your consent before your information is used by that provider.

6. Payment Information

Payments made through our Services are processed by Shopify Payments, PayPal, Shop Pay, and other supported payment methods, which may include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and other locally supported payment methods depending on your location. Paws of Prestige does not store your complete payment card details; your payment information is collected and processed directly by the relevant payment provider in accordance with their own privacy and security practices.

7. Marketing Communications

We currently intend to send marketing communications by email only. We do not currently use SMS or WhatsApp for marketing purposes, and we do not use purchased mailing lists. We will only send you promotional emails where you have subscribed to our newsletter or otherwise provided valid consent, and every promotional email includes an unsubscribe mechanism. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link, without affecting non-promotional communications such as order or account updates.

8. Data Sale and Sharing Disclosures

We do not sell your personal information for monetary payment. However, certain US state privacy laws define terms such as "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" broadly, in ways that may include some forms of advertising or technology-related disclosures even where no money changes hands. Where applicable to your US state of residence, you may exercise rights relating to these disclosures using our Data sharing opt-out page, linked in the footer of our Services. This opt-out functionality applies only to eligible US states, and not globally.

9. Automated Decision-Making

We do not use profiling or automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you. Standard fraud, risk, security and payment checks may be carried out by Shopify, our payment providers, or fraud-prevention services in connection with processing your order.

10. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to complete your orders, provide customer service, meet our accounting and taxation obligations, comply with legal and regulatory requirements, prevent fraud, maintain security, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the applicable legal obligations, and we do not apply a single fixed retention period to all personal information.

11. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed at children who are not legally able to enter into a contract or provide consent to data processing in their jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from such children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below so that we can address it.

12. International Data Transfers

Shopify, our payment providers, and the service providers, suppliers and logistics partners described in this Policy may process your personal information in countries other than the one in which you reside. Where we or our providers transfer personal information internationally, we take appropriate steps intended to ensure that information continues to receive an adequate level of protection.

13. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights in relation to your personal information:

  • Access. The right to request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction. The right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Deletion. The right to request that we delete personal information we hold about you.
  • Restriction. The right to request that we restrict how we process your personal information.
  • Objection. The right to object to certain processing of your personal information.
  • Portability. The right to receive a copy of your personal information in a portable format, in certain circumstances.
  • Withdrawal of consent. Where we rely on your consent, the right to withdraw it at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
  • Opting out of certain sharing or targeted advertising. Where applicable, the right to opt out of disclosures that may be defined as a "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" under applicable law, including through our Data sharing opt-out page where available to your region.
  • Complaints. The right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection or privacy regulator.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at sales@thepawsofprestige.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request. These rights are not absolute, and in some circumstances we may be unable to fulfil a request in full — for example, where we are subject to a legal obligation to retain certain information.

14. Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. We will post any revised Privacy Policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
